AUSCHWITZ – BIRKENAU & WIELICZKA – SALT MINE (1 DAY)
German concentration camp existing in the years 1940-1945, where more than one million people were exterminated. The camp became the site of the greatest murder of Jews imported in Auschwitz as a result of the Nazi plan. Auschwitz-Birkenau is a symbol of the gravest genocide in human history and a place of remembrance of the Holocaust.
The world-famous Underground Tourist Route in the Wieliczka Salt Mine was established at the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth century. The route is 3 km long and is located 60 – 125 meters under the ground. During the two-hour tour you can admire a chapel full of sculptures, both historical and religious ones, an underground lake, discover several techniques of salt extraction and get to know some miners’ tales.
